No offense if I offend a LEO but most of them only have a basic working knowledge of the law. And what they enforce directly is at their own discretion right or wrong. I had a trio of Fed agents walk on the property and proceed to a hoop house that I was building. All I saw was 3 strangers in suits talking pointing and walking. Guess their heard the slide on my .45 when I put a fresh one in the chamber. They spun, the middle guy went for his gun and ended up practically pee'in his pants because I already had the gun leveled. Apparently they were looking for illegal marijuana operations that happen in the farms throughout the county where I live. The hoophouse was seen by a helicopter and they figured to check it out in person after their lunch break.
They forgot their warrant
They were tresspassing
They never identified themselves b4 the middle jerkwad started reaching for his piece
They almost died in a bloody pool because they interpreted the law the way they thought it worked.
I respect LEO's in general, but they are a reactionary force... 3 seconds away from a firefight that would have killed 3 federal agents... and it took the local cops 10 minutes to show up. Taught me a real quick lesson. Protect what is yours, because they are there (LEO's) to pick up the pieces.
