Actually I think you could say that about a lot of us.
I just HAPPEN to have a use for my dog that I feel is better suited than dinner, and I happen to find other animals better FOR dinner, but I still raise my dinner. All species are probably edible, some are just preferable for one reason or another and it varies by culture. Doesn't matter to me what species you're raising for your food.

I don't think it was meant to be derogatory. Peeps was just pointing out that other cultures have different standards than our own.

I dont see anything in this video that is wrong.

I do see people making assumptions that may or may not be true.

I also see nothing wrong with a culture that eats dogs. I think it would be pretty sorry for me to say something bad about there choice of livestock when we eat cows, an animal revered as gods to many people in our own country.

Yes but the nature of the statement and the way it was delivered could make a person of Asian descent uncomfortable. If it were said under different pretenses then perhaps it wouldn't have been so demeaning.
