Yay! Little Javier is in his bachelor pad coop! When hubby and I went to put the pullets in for the night, we didn’t see him and thought he’d finally figured out that he needed to sleep in his coop. Hubby left the people door open while he came over to the big coop to grab another carabiner and Javier escaped rooster jail! I suggested that we put him in the girls’ run until after dark and he went right to sleep on the ramp leading up to the girls’ dormitory. We left him for about an hour and then went back out, picked him right up, he cooed a little, then hubby put him on the roost in his coop. Easy-peasy!

Nice cool day on tap, so big man’s confined to barracks for the day. Maybe tomorrow he can come out into his run and watch the girls watch him. I get the feeling this is what it’d be like if an all-boys school was across the street from an all-girls school...

We left him for about an hour and then went back out, picked him right up, he cooed a little, then hubby put him on the roost in his coop. Easy-peasy!
