Seven. The most recent two appeared suddenly, from no signs of pipping to out the shells in under two hours. Though I am trying my best not to open the windowless incubator very often.

Eight are out of the incubator and into a cage with food, water, and a heat lamp. They are chirpy and curious. I didn't clean the pen thoroughly and they've discovered some bits of straw and cobweb that has been amusing them.

There are still a few eggs in the incubator, but no signs of pipping, so I expect eight will be the final count. I dated the eggs and will report whether there seems to be any correlation between lay date and hatch rate when I clean out the incubator.

I'll try and post a picture later today or tomorrow.
