Quote:
A phobia (from the Greek: φόβος, phóbos, meaning "fear" or "morbid fear") is an intense and persistent fear of certain situations, activities, things, animals, or people. The main symptom of this disorder is the excessive and unreasonable desire to avoid the feared stimulus.
If her fear is actually a phobia, and it sounds like it is, then she cant touch it.
I am the same way with moths...the gagging and feeling like I'm going to pass out if they touch me or are even around me, but there are times in life you have to suck it up and do what you have to do whether you're gagging when you do it or not. I could never touch a disgusting moth with my bare skin, but I suck it up and remove them with something.....gagging all the while.
