Panic attacks suck. I used to get them really bad while hiking :-/

Relaxation techniques help, I like this one
the same guy has a bunch of different videos, if you look at the other ones too you can usually tweak it to meet your needs.

You'll feel RETARDED doing it, I feel retarded even admitting to it, LOL, but it does help (just make sure no one is home).

It sucks that the police cars didn't stop, but it probably wasn't personal. Maybe there was something important they were trying to get to? The EMT and firetrucks usual just go out to cruise... I'm sorry that no one helped though. I hope your car will be okay!

Tofu,
Thanks for the link, I'll check that out when I have time tomorrow.

With the police cars, no, they weren't running sirens or lights, just going along on thier normal patrol. The EMS unit was the same and even had the nerve for the person riding in the passenger side to stick thier hand out and wave at DH while he was pushing the Mustang up the hill. That was just plain mean.

It was blantant neglect of the duty a state trooper has to protect and serve the public, period. I've seen state police changing tires here in our county on the interstate more than once and now this in a different county where no one cares for anyone else. It wasn't just dh, just seeing the behavoir from others who were out for "me first" in cutting from the LEFT to get in front of me trying to get the Mustang to a safer place on the exit lane which he was in the middle of and getting clipped severely from an overbearing driver, plus the others that didn't stop to help... and not from a POV of compassion for someone who might be having a really bad day and to give them a break.
Sigh.
It's just that I see good people everyday here, and up there, it's nuts. I haven't seen that even when we lived in Baltimore and owned a restaurant in the bad area of town, the police were scarce, but they were honest about it and we knew what to expect. Here, it was a shocker.

We are getting the Mustang fixed, it was a lot more than I thought but we'll see about the cost once I get an answer to which sensor it was that went bad.
Thank you all for hanging in there with me!!

I've had more than my share of panic attacks this week and one just happened today at the flea market with my family.I was up early, walking around in the sun with a hot sweatshirt on because I was freezing at the house where it was 65 degrees inside I get out there in the bright sunlight, and it gets hot, I get dizzy and shaky because I'm overly hot as it is and walking....it was bad. I'm checking my BP and it was high, I'm seeing spots but am still going, even though dh is throwing a fit about going any further and just leaving. (It was not because I'm feeling bad, he's sick of me not feeling well and he let me know about it today. )
Dh gets irritated at me when they happen. What he doesn't understand is that I'm not doing this, I cannot help it. I am calling a real doc, not an urgent care tomorrow about what's been happening and they should be able to work out a payment schedule.

Night all, I'm whooped. Thanks for praying and thinking of us.
