Ohhhh! I'm so mad! I knew you guys would understand! I don't drive...I ride a bike. Last summer I had my bike stolen right off my porch. It wasn't chained up but I figured it would be safe. I was wrong.

I had to borrow a bike from my best friend's husband this summer. I just went to get it off the front porch to run to the store....It's gone!! THIS one was chained up! It was an old rusty piece of crap but it got me where I needed to go.....

Thank God friend's hubby is not mad at me but geeze! I know (yes for sure) who took it and the police won't do anything because it didn't belong to me. Friend's hubby is going to report it too. Grrr just so mad, sorry. Stomp! Stomp!

Ok I feel better now. Thanks for listening.

That is awful, I would be a ranting crazy person over it. I am glad his friend is going to report it! I will never understand some people!

I hope he gets it back.

That stinks. I'm sorry.

It's totally not fair that it happened to a bike, too-- you were being good to the planet!

Glad DH of BFF is going to report it... Hopefully the police will then do something about it. Especially if you're sure of who took the bike. I hope it comes back to you!

It just makes me so mad. I had a run in a few months ago with this 'person' that took it. This is just her way of getting revenge at me for making her look bad.

I know how it feels. I'm sorry. Some people just suck.

My husband bought me a bike one year for Christmas, when we lived in an appt. He "hid" it

in the storage room in the basement, where all the tenants had access. He went to show me my Christmas present, and yeah, you guessed it. I didn't have one!

I've also had a locked bike completely disappear from a designated bike parking area.

Now I always try to keep my bike out of sight, even if it is locked. Once I took it up a mt. road that was inaccessible to cars for about 6 miles, but I still hid my bike in the woods, and locked it while I went hiking.

My hubby had three bikes stolen from him and even one was padlocked inside of the store! The police could not do anything even its been reported and this time we got a recumbrent bicycle and now its been a year we had that thing and locked it in our shed when we are not using it. One night someone or somebodies attempted to take the hinge pins off our shed to access the bike and something spooked them and never heard or seen again.

Alot of times those bikes are stolen for sole reason, drugs......:thun

So go get a cheap hunk of junk bike and chain it up where the others were stolen. then you coat the entire thing in molasses or Vaseline or some other ookie goop. But make sure that it isn't noticeable. And hook up a video camera to watch.
