Hi Chicken Friends!
I bought a rare breed lot from Meyer hatchery. Supposedly all pullets. I can't tell what I have and Meyer couldn't tell me. The black and many of the barred pattern ones have light feathering on legs, so I'm thinking Marans.
I'm hoping Black Copper Marans for some and maybe Cuckoo marans?
There is a blue one w feathered legs too and a yellowish breast that I'm not sure about.
Then the brown ones. A few are the same and I thought they were Welsummers but not sure now that I'm seeing the feathers. Some are shades of brown and others have gray mixed in too.
Then there is a poofier one with dark beak end.
And a couple with speckled heads that I thought were Wyandottes but now not sure about them either!
Thanks in advance!

I agree, the brown ones are hard. They were able to tell me that my freebie chick was an Olive Egger which is as you said, their blend of breeds. But since they can vary in appearance, I don't know which one it is

I didn't take a pic of it because I knew for sure what it was.
