Rare chicken-guinea fowl hybrid has FOUR wings

Personally, I am shocked she wants to sell it at auction.

hhhmmmmmm.....wonder how I can manage that trip...........hun, I am flying over seas to an auction for a hybrid chicken/guinea cross

I don't think its a cross breed either. It has the true double laced pattern of a pure barnevelder (the mother is a Barnevelder). If it was crossed with a guinea it would not have that pattern. If it does have four wings then it is a incubation/twin mishap. I have a dozen that look just like it (minus the four wings) in my coop right now. Cute story, but I don't think the guinea part is true.

here is a what a guinea hybrid should look like.

The difference between this supposed hybrid and Miracle (a TRUE hybrid) is, Miracle is the mating of an EE roo chicken with a guinea hen. This one says it comes from that Cornish hen and a guinea roo.

It doesn't look like a hybrid to me... but that's just me.

Perhaps there were no chicken roos around so I suppose it's possible.

Okay, I know it's possible to have a guinea/chicken cross. But as ugly as a guinea
can be and as pretty as chickens can be I just don't think I would ever want to cross
my chickens with my guineas.
On the other hand I don't think crossing the two would consistently produce
birds with 4 wings. But, if someone could show that it would I may give it a try here.
Me and the kids love honey bar-b-qued wings.

oh I am sure some study has been done, the various colleges have tried to make hens lay twice in a day, I am sure someplace like perdue has or still is trying to come up with something like that.

Personally I think she should have taken a pic of the 4 wings as well, she obviously had the camera out.
