Any ideas what this is? It’s only on one side the other side looks normal. She just got out of chicken jail after being broody for about 5 weeks. I noticed her comb was withering but I thought it was because she wasn’t eating or drinking properly.

It looks like fowl pox, but another picture would help. Fowl pox is a virus carried by mosquitoes in warm weather. It lasts about a month, and there is no treatment. Most adult chickens recover in several weeks. But since she has scabs around her eye, I would get some Terramycin eye ointment or plain Neosporin and apply a small dab to the eye to help prevent a secondary infection. Make sure that she can see well enough to eat and drink or take her aside and feed her. Here is some reading about pox:

Thank you so much for the info and quick reply. It certainly looks like fowl pox after looking at the website you sent. Neosporin has already been applied. Thanks again.
