Hi everyone. I have a few white silkies one of which is my breeding from the rooster and one of the hens. I think they’re beautiful but a few things to work on. What do yall think? The smallest of the bunch if my breeding. It has dark skin but a light face so I’ve gotta work on fixing that. I did get a hen with the desired dark comb tho to help.

Your rooster is nice, his head is carried a touch high and his wings look a little low but if it was warm out it's probably just the way he's holding them. His comb has the crease which is great and isn't all smooth like some are going for, the SOP wants them to be textured. As long as his toes 4th and 5th toes are properly angled he looks like a nice one!

If the 3rd and 4th photos are of the same hen, the 4th photo she is posed much better. That is the carriage you want and nice high tight wings with a high cushion.

The last one, do you know who the parents are of that one? That is a very light face and beak.

Thank you! I just saw your reply. It’s hard to tell because their wings are drooped a lot due to the heat. They may be a little low tho. I think he’s a pretty rooster still!

Yes the 3rd and 4th are the same hen. She comes from show quality lines, tho her comb doesn’t look quite right. I’m hoping breeding her to my rooster will improve the comb for the offspring

The last is from my rooster and a hen who also has too light of a face. I was hoping his color would give darker faced offspring but this one was the only one born too light and sadly the only one that survived. I think it has a pretty nice build so far but I do want to improve the coloring.
I attached a photo of the hen with too late coloring.

I think you’re right because I had several chicks that hatched looking paint. They died unfortunately so I didn’t get to see them grow out but I was told a dominant and a recessive white will create “paints.” Wish I could’ve seen them reach maturity!
I'm wondering if your girls with light faces have a dominant white gene while your rooster is recessive white?
