Rats - a new way to erradicate them.

I think this is a myth. Rats cannot burp or vomit. The most this will do will give them gastrointestinal distress from gas and make them fart.

Which would however account for them not wanting to come out to eat or go near the soda again.

WHOOOOAAAA this thread is the best!!! I know that if you put concret in an aluminum pan with grain in the midddle and sprinkle around it with Concrete powder...That will kill them... They are notoriously clean creature and when they groom themselves they lick it off of their fir and it hardens inside them... This one works.. I know it. Another is peppermint oil.. they are allergic... Be careful around cats... throw it on cottonballs down the holes and voila... they leave.

We know soemone who gassed a couple of skunks with this method. It worked. But there was one problem that no one thought of until they were dead.

The skunks were located under a permanent concrete stoop attached to the house.

There was no way to get them out afterwords...

Forget the aluminum pan. I use those because they are low and disposable. Period

It causes there stomach to burst. Can get messy though if one becomes a coke-aholic and bleeds out, but it works.

Don't care if anyone believes it, but I've used it. I've had friends use it and it just plain works.

And it happens pretty fast.

No chemicals....OK cola is a chemical ..........but any cola will do.

How much would it cost for you to try it and then tell me I'm right?

My friends did it in high school as a science experiment. Dr Pepper in that case (doesn't matter unless the rats have a preference). The rats all died of bloat.

Wow! That was pretty smart! A very good idea to exterminate your coop.

I have never heard of coke killing rats before. If I ever encounter any, I will try this first!

Althought Coke does have some very ingenious uses, like cleaning steel or copper. I personally prefer to put a tray of water out but add a couple of teaspoons of anti freeze to it. Where as the Coke works some times, the anti freeze is fool proof. They aint coming back after drinking that. You may ask, how do you get them to drink the anti freeze laced water? Anti freeze is sweet to the taste so that attracts them to it. Couple days later, no pests.
Just my own country way of dealing with such things. Sorry if it seems top harsh for some on here, just one of the ways I was taught to handle things on the farm.
