Rats burrowing under coop

This is our huntress. She walked up to this yearling and it paid little attention to her until she got within 10 feet and I think the cat realized, "Yea, that's way too big" and the deer was like "What?"

Try the bucket/barrel trap. Slide pipe over a dowel and they will fall in and drown. Hang bait on a string over the dowel on the bucket.

i have caught several rats on camera coming into the chickens run and there are several holes around the chicken coop. I've tried live traps, bucket traps, snap traps but no luck. I obviously can't use poison because of the chickens so I'm not sure what to do. If I make a concrete trench around the coop will that solve the problem? Any tips are appreciated!
Use hardware cloth. Dig a trench around the area line with HC. We went down 1-2 feet. So far so good!
