Rats, rats EVERYWHERE! ☹️

Not sure that's a rat.....unless it's a baby one?

So far it's just been 2 mice that have been lingering around my coop this year. No trace of rats yet. Hopefully they learned last year not to come back my way ever again!

I prefer NOT using poison because our wildlife animals eat the carcasses.

Around her wildlife that eat carcasses also eat chicken, hence earning the title “predator”. If a predator eats a rat that dies from poison it’s “oh,well”.

It would have barely any effect whatsoever on the predators. A few chicken eaters gone wouldn't be too much of a worry anyway.

I use the poison inside the box, so they have to eat it there, can’t drag it away and the cats can’t get to it.

Most of them die in their runs and are never found by predators.

Around here there are more predators than prey it’s gotten so bad.
