The steamed veggies and sometimes fresh fruit add vitamins and minerals. The raw bone and organ meat provides minerals as well.
The golden paste I give them is an excellent source of anitoxidants, the salmon oil is for Omega 3s and I also add the probiotics and digestive enzymes.
I have a variety of meats that I buy preground and blended. They include beef, chicken, turkey, salmon, pork and sometimes rabbit. I like the 80/10/10 blends because they are complete and I don't have to add the bone and organ meat. When I do need to add them, I've used beef kidney, chicken or turkey liver, beef lung and tripe. I like to feed the raw feet frequently enough to get the benefits of them chewing up the bones to clean the teeth but I also scale, polish and brush their teeth regularly.
