I have been breeding and training dogs for years. I feed my dogs a raw diet(mostly raw chicken leg quarters) The hens come and pick at the raw chicken while the dogs are eating.

Just wondering if there may be a problem with the hens eating the chicken.

no problem, except it is kinda gross! If a hen has a raw spot or sore on her, it is not uncommon for the others to pick her quite forcefully, and can even kill each other. Disturbing...

I don't feed my chickens anything with chicken.... I find it just wrong, but they would eat it.

I feed raw too and have to say that if my chickens tried to share the dogs dinner, they'd be next on the menu

I've seen my dogs chased across the lawn by the girls when I've fed them. My dogs will pick up their food and run with it when they see the chickens coming cos the chickens will drive them away from the food. In lieu of the temptation of a blood bath I do try to feed separately. So far all chickens have survived both the dogs and any raw food they have been able to scavenge.
