Oh DEAR!

My mom just made peanut butter cookies from a mix and they just don't taste good enough to go with the incredibly delicious goat milk!

I didn't read anywhere about you folks making ice cream with goats milk. Its absolutely the best! I milk my little Nigi's.
California is pretty much an unilluminated state where raw milk is concerned. I'm not supposed to share it with anyone that doesn't live in my home. Not many farming lawmakers, I guess.

I make cheeses, ice cream and soaps with my goats milk. Lots of fresh milk too. Sooooo good!

I agree that CL is usually noticable but did read the other day that if there is an absess in the udder it can go unnoticed for a little while and pass the bacteria. Good reason to really check udders or know who you are getting milk from. Goat ice cream is a WONDERFUL delicacy.

oh just wait... nothing goes better with oreos than goat milk! whoo hooo!

and geez.... today i had a quiche made with our own eggs, ham, goat milk, and goat cheese!

ice cream.. ice cream.. ahhhhh... good thing i've been skimming the cream off the milk oh the ice cream i'm going to make....

Our goat is enceinte and I can't wait. I love goat's milk cheese, but I've only ever had canned to drink and it was baaaaaad.

Does anyone experience an "aftertaste" with their fresh goat milk? When I first drink it, it tastes great, but after a few minutes I taste goat--well let me re-phrase--I taste what a goat smells like...? Make sense? I use sterile equipment--stainless steel, but regardless of how clean I get my goat, a hair or two still fall into the pail. I do strain the milk, but still tastes a little goaty to me. I still drink it but even my 3 year old can tell the difference.
