Rcom 20 incubator, can i open lid on day 15?

Hey there,

I am about to hatch my first batch of eggs using an rcom 20 (and only third hatch in total - last two were in a brinsea mini advanced).

I have the eggs in dividers but they are on day 15 and I am about to raise the humidity. however I am thinking to open the lid and remove the dividers so they have space to roam around when they hatch. Am I okay to take the lid off for 1 minute while i do this? or lockdown means lockdown? no ifs no buts.

I have put a poll for those who can't be bothered to do full responses, but id love any detailed responses your willing to give!

Sure. Open it up. I usually candle them at day 10. The reason you had such a poor hatch the first time may be due to shipping. Did you order them?

You should be fine to open it.

I candle remove chicks that are dry. Throughout lockdownandhatch.

Just keep humidity bumped up.

But my last hatch I did not raise humidity for it and they hatched as good as the ones that had humidity raised
