Mine are 8 & 10. They'll be interested and helpful for about ten eggs at most. By then someone will get kicked out of the tiny dark room I candle in. Actually my DD was quite helpful taking notes last hatch so maybe she'll help again.

Well I have a 17yr son a 14yr D...9 yr S ...
A 6 y S ... A 4y D ... A 2y S and a 1y D !!!!!!
And an older son that is married but he just likes the chicks ha ha
All the ones at home would love to help and all at the same time hee hee and I have to candle in a walk in closet so there just isn't enough room and I could see eggs gettin broken lol

Morning!

For not much happening, there are a heap of new posts for me!

For both our sets we have laid our eggs on their side from start to finish. Hatching in a carton seems unnatural no me. The egg is enough work to get out of already, let alone something wrapping around it.

Something that greeted me on FB this morning, 'NAKED CHICKS WITH GUNS' got me going with the chuckles.

bawahahahaha! i will not candle. When the shakes get too bad and I NEED to candle I will grab some from the fridge. Promise It's still only thursday here so 3 sleeps for me.

Hey guys! I started on the 17. I'm incubating some bantam cochins, polish and a few suspected sebright/polish crosses that accidentally got mixed in. Good luck to the rest of you!

I set on the 17th also. I have 13 cream legbar eggs and two brahma/Wyandotte mix eggs that are probably not fertile but I thought I would give it a shot.

This is my first hatch. I have had some trouble with keeping my temp stable and the CL eggs were shipped all the way across the country, so we shall see how it goes. I am really hoping for the best!
