Ready Set Hatch! Set 3/17 Hatch 4/7 - ready now! Hatch-Along

yay
had another 2 hatch and have another pip

Great!
Still going slow & steady here - 7 hatched - barred rock just hopped out. Several pips yet, a few doing nothing so far. Then again, they aren't suppose to hatch til tomorrow morning, but I knew I had it a little warm the first 10 days. These are all hatching from the warmest area of my incubator.

Only one hatched and he looks kinda deformed but I'm not sure. His "chord" was wrapped around his "knee" joint so I had to gently roll it off so he's still got some absorbing to do. He's trying to move more now. On bantams do their eye balls look bigger than their eye lids? Lol his eyes look HUGE compared to tiny eye lids. :/

We are back to square zero here. I saw some wiggling earlier but it has been completely still and quiet since.

Oh well. I will just go back to being miserable with this cold/flu nastiness. Sure would make me feel better to be able to see a cute little chick wobbling around!

Here's chick number 1!

A chipmunked D'uccle?

Gah, I am SO tired from all this incubator watching and we're only halfway done!

We are at 12 out, with several pips and lots of movement! These little chicks are killing me with their cuteness. It's going to be sad to see them go, but I have 11 very jealous adolescent chicks in the basement waiting for me :p

The chick that I assisted is doing well. I put some clear ointment on his membrane and I can clearly see the blood vessels in there. It is 75% humidity in there so the membrane looks good, and he is breathing nicely. The Orps have the most pipping going on but I'm hoping to see more all across the board throughout the evening.

My hatch cam is on the brooder right now if you wanna take a peek at the fuzzies :D
