How tall is the temporary run? I sure could do without the sheet panic!

Just be sure to use hardware cloth to make it predator proof.

2.5 feet; the smallest (Wyandotte named Little Cutie) is the ONLY one that has tried to escape.

My Wyandotte is also the smallest, and the most determined to make trouble. Her name is Duckling, I think; she is homely (not really ugly!) now but will grow up to be gorgeous. She has that adolescent, just-fell-out-of-bed look with down sticking out all over and new feathers here and there.
