Ready to spend the night outside?

My set-up isn't as fancy and tidy as Miss Lyndia's. A bedframe serves as the walls. The heat lamp hangs from a pole strung between ladders. As usual, my poultry is uncooperative when it come to having their picture taken. These are the last 3 to hatch this season, each one a week apart.

How many peahen and cocks do you have? they are so cute ♥️

Do they do okay in your frigid winters? I remember as a kid in Fla we use to go to the zoo and they had peacocks and hens boy were they gorgeous and loud. lol

I'd love to see pics of everyone some time. Sounds like a nice group you have.

I'll try to remember to post a picture of the peas trudging through the snow. They do fine in our long, cold, snowy winters. They have access to a large area of the barn where they can get out of the wind. Regardless of the temperature, if the sun is shining, they prefer to be out in their run on perches.

That is so cool, I always thought of them as birds that needed heat to live.

are they good at brooding and raising their own chicks?
