Well, it has wings and was hanging out near some Paleozoic `eggs' and what remains of a predator (and if I stretch it any further I'll go over the falls...). The `Cyclops' is a few weeks early but I'm not going to complain. I'm guessing this is as much spring color as we're going to get (everything else froze).

Is that a lunamoth? Cyclops - I never heard of it. But, what do I know..

Yeah, it's a Polyphemus moth (named after the cyclops that Ulysses and the boys beat up and blinded). I'm hoping the Luna moths weathered the last freeze, but won't know until early June.
