I was coming back from the local crafty type store and was stopped at the light. There are "bums" on every lane devider and a few on the corners.

I was in the turn lane, apparently the "hot spot" for begging.
Anyway, this lady was walking the customary limp-drag-step as they do holding her "Hungary need help" (yes, spelled that way). Just about the time she got to my car, a bum came running across the street, dodging traffic, waiving his nasty arms, screaming at the top of his lungs about how she was in HIS spot and to get her lard "butt" out of here.

They cussed and yelled at each other for a second or two and she hauled off and decked him! knocked him Flat on his AXX then she proceded to kick and stomp on him!

I was concerned for his welfare but then the light changed and I remembered how irritating they are.

I KNOW this city has anti-vagrancy laws, but it costs too much money and wastes police time to arrest them. I WILL call the cops when they camp out near my house. (I have bushes and trees)

One more reason to live in the middle of nowhere Montana!! The only thing begging around my house is my chickens!! My town has 1 stop light and no bums.

I love it here in my own little world!

Oh dear. I stopped taking the bus through downtown Seattle after seeing a bum fight over pizza across the street from my bus stop. You never know when some scary idiot is going to pull out a gun and be a terrible shot.

A couple of years ago I attended an education conference at our convention center here in San Diego. I traveled down each day on trolley - btw it worked great - at one point I was on a bus furnished for the convention goers and a teacher from a northern state commented on all the homeless folks in the downtown area, he also commented on the fact that we must have the problem year round due to our nice weather.....

He was right - you could get hypothermia in San Diego, but you would never freeze to death in a snowbank!

I feel bad for them. I mean.. not the ones fighting, but homeless people in general. I know a lot of people now-adays will beg even if they aren't poor. Some woman was arrested for that some time ago, but for the actual people that don't have homes.... I wouldn't want to be there.

I feel bad for them also. Most of them have mental illnesses..thats why they cant hold jobs and such..

I feel bad for California, I have heard that other states save money by giving homeless bus tickets to San Diego.
