Really EXCESSIVE CROWING

So off topic but can you post a picture of this guy? šŸ˜… so curious to see the mad man, the crowing legend himself
Here is the legend himself. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, it was midnight already. They all snuck out of the coop but I don't mind.

I have a young rooster (previously thought to be a hen) who JUST. WON'T. SHUT. UP!

The entire day (sometimes from 2am and even right now) he will crow. Non stop. I haven't had complaints about him yet but I'm sure they're going to come. He isn't aggressive and was hand raised so I genuinely care about his loud a$$ but this is really a problem. Our flock is only 3 birds, they're free range. Is he bored? Opopr is he just a nuisance? I don't know what to do. We go out to shut him up and the moment we turn around he is at it again. Extra food? Crow. Fresh water? Crow. Treats? Crow. Shout? Crow. Chuck water at him? Even MORE crowing.

It's endless. Getting him rehomed is a last last resort. He is beautiful and huge, kind of funny sometimes but it's just unreal. The last thing I want is for him to end up in a pot.

Tips, anyone, please. Enrichment ideas, treat ideas, "rooster jail" ideas, anything
It’s just who they are. If you have hens he will be a little happier and less noisy but trust me he won’t stop.

I could try keep him in the garage until morning? The garage is generally cool, especially at night so it's a viable option. I just worry the girls will be restless without him.
I hope you found yourself a perfect solution with the dark and quiet garage. The girls are fine without him.

You just made my day, whilst reading I kept on laughing. I know it's not funny, I just hope someone could give you a solution.

Yo fellow Saffa!! šŸ‡æšŸ‡¦ My Bru... This bird gave me grey hairs but he isn't going to tjaila anytime soon. He's been oddly quiet today actually. I'm so worried the oom next door grabs his kettie and turns Sprinkles into a Potjie. I'm glad I had you laughing though! As you can imagine, I've been loudly shouting TSEK out the back door for weeks now, I hope the neighbours catch my drift. Northern Cape roosters hit different

Often, young roosters go through a phase of using their pipes a lot after they learn how. Typically, mine lessen crowing as they age. If you have enough patience, you can wait it out. I made a collar out of velcro for one of my loudmouths. It lowered the decibels but I eventually gave the rooster to someone who could appreciate him more. Some just don't stop or are so blasted loud, I cull them.

Sometimes, we got to let nature take it's cause, I just showed your message to my daughter. I thought maybe she could share some advice but she just cracked out loud laughing. My neighbors adores my rooster's crowing more especially in the early hours. I have learned a lot from my rooster, as for how he put others first. He always allow others to feed first before him. He could even sense me from a distance. All the best buddy.
