did you say the droppings had improved?
are they still runny at all? what color?
have they been eating well?
are you still seeing any blood spots like in Lulu's as in the pic.?
I also saw the blood spots on Lulu's droppings..and thought cocci.
intestinal cocci can cause those colors of and consistency of droppings.
but after reading about the wazine I wondered if some damage had been done, causing the blood spots.
or if another type of worm could be causing it, in which case the broader wormer would be needed as dlh suggested.
at any rate, some sort of enteritis was, or is happening.
which chicken died?(any of the ones with droppings pictured?)
were the droppings runny when you got them?
I mean, from the first day?
or shortly after?
if after..
is there any fertilizers or weed killers used in the areas where they free range?
I tend to think they need to be treated for cocci.
Corid, or Amprol..(amprolium)...
My personal preferance is the powdered Corid 20% amprollium..water soluble for bovine cocci.
if you can find it. (1 TEASPOON powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days)
state vet might have it...or be able to suggest a cocci med.
Sulmet can be used, but not my first choice, tho used by many.
did you say you had changed feed?
others might have suggestions for cocci med.
or other opinions of problem.
sorry for your troubles, and confusion.
