Really need advice about my cats eye, Please..i think he may lose it!

hi lurky...i have heard of that place..its connected with tufts right?... i know i wont take him to boston road..they'll kill him there!..scary place!...where is the one in deeerfield?...i know where yankee candle is?...thanks, Wendy

The film you are seeing is most likely edema of the cornea, causing it to look opaque. It could also be infected. You really should take him to a specialist (veterinary ophthalmologist) if at all possible.

Its one mile north of Yankee Candle on the same road and same side of the road as well.
The # is 413-665-4911 if you want to call to ask about anything. I know they refer people to tufts if they cant take care of it. We have had to go to this place a few times and i love it. They have specialists there too

In 3 weeks that vet should of addressed all your concerns and explained every step of what she has done and what you are seeing. She hasn't, busy does not mean she is a great vet. Your concerns have not been met, your animal is in worse shape then before you brought it in. And that eye looks ulcerated to me and I am no expert. You leave that eye like that and you will have a one eyed cat.

I think you are doing the right thing going to a new vet ASAP. My above statement was just to second everything you have been feeling and what everyone is saying.

Please update us thanks

thanks zookeeper...yeah..i think you are right..my concerns are not really being taken very serious...i honestly..almost think that the stitches(2 seperate times)..in his eye..may have caused him more trauma to the eye or something......my poor Digit!....thanks, WEndy

Please get a second opinion and find a new vet ASAP. Trust your instincts. If the eye looks worse to you, it probably is.

Good luck to you and poor Digit. Keep us posted.
