Hi everyone...just wanted to intro myself. I'm Julie from WA State and I am JUST staring the chicken raising. I love all animals but really look forward to raising my own chickens. I will be getting my coop the end of the week and getting 4 pullets on Sunday. I have learned SO SO much from this website. THANK YOU. Can't wait to learn a lot more and meet new chicken friends

2 Golden lace Wyandotte
1 Barred Rock
I thought about a white leghorn but changed my mind for now

Those are some very nice breeds that are pretty, friendly and well lay well. Leghorns are great layers but some of them can be a bit skittish.
