50 was not so bad. I always say that at 50 you join a very elite club. You are now a JR. Elder. Sure it a starting position but you got to start somewhere.

Happy Birthday! Keep fighting, it took my mom 3 tries to get on S.S.D. and she had a lawyer the last 2 times. Long story, there but don't give up! Best wish and good luck!
 
Dave, First have a wonderful and fantastic birthday. Second, get a social security disability attorney. I totally understand what your going through. My DH has been fighting for 3 years for it, yes I said three years! He to is on some major drugs (Methadone, Flexaril and much more). Keep fighting for it and think about all the wonderful and good things you have in your life (your kids, your wife and soon chickens). I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck and please post pics when you get you chickens and eggs!

Dave, as someone whose DH has no discs left in several places and had back surgery years ago, I have seen what that does to people. I'm recovering from a bad tib/fib fracture of the ankle right now myself, but that is better than any back issues. Bless your heart, you've been through the wringer! The BYC family is just awesome, as you have had a taste of. Welcome to the family.

Thanks for thw birthday wishes and the well wishes for my back and fight for S.S.D. This really does seem like a family here and I really do feel like these people care. To others like me don't give up things should get better so just hang in there. Thanks to all, Dave in Eastern N.C.

I know that right now there are only two footprints because he has to be carring me. I hurt to much to walk by myself. That is streaching it a bit but, I know that without his strentgh and guidence and the love of family and friends I would not have made it to 50 years old. Thanks to all, Dave
