Really unique colored Fischer lovebird... REALLY odd...

Okay, normally I'd just say this is a fluke, a chimera, two yolks fertilized in one egg, and the two became one bird, like when you mix two colors of Play Doh and wad them up into one shape. Except there was another bi-colored bird in this cage for several years, I kept him hoping for crazy to get another one. Sold him last December, and then... THIS thing fledged... whatever it is, it is LONG odds, either way, Mosaic (calico) gene, or chimera, either way, very long odds.







 
So that feed you got from the fallout zone is working as planned??


Neat bird. But a little light on the meat and I suspect you would have to crack a dozen eggs to get a meal...

Just kidding. Really is kind of cool to get oddballs like that.

I have a peach faced love bird, he is at least 18 years old which I believe to be pretty good going, he is such a character and I love him to bits

How cool is that? That's what I loved about raising birds. You never knew what you really had color-wise until they feathered out.
