Really upset... someone reported me.

So, someone that knows my name and where I live reported an exact number of chickens I have (including in the brooder in my locked up garage) to animal control.

I got a notice on my door. It was too late to reach the person when I got home.

It is really sad that someone is so miserable that they want to take away someone's happiness. I'm not even keeping all of them. We have our 5 older girls and will keep 3 or 4 of the teens/little ones once they get a little bigger and we pick out the ones we want to keep. I just gave away 6 over the last 2 days. We never planned to keep all 21 chickens, but got a variety of chicks so we can see how they grow and make sure we had pullets, etc. before deciding on the final lot.

An idea.... Someone posted for another reason about finding someone/a farm to "board" her chickens... maybe you could try that? Then invite the ACO over to inspect... claim the sorta truth... some jerk must have been mad at you, wonder why they would of said something like that? LOL

I agree has to be someone you know well or has access to your property. To know exact number of chickens. Heck I don't even know my own exact number of chickens. Makes me angry to see people be mean like that . I there a way to try to get who reported you?
