Really want a Flamingo . .. .

You're not alone. I have been wanting a flamingo for a few years now.

Is it legal to have one as a pet?

I think it would fall under the "Native" law. If there native then probably not but yes to places that they are not native.

ok so this in an old thread, but i wanted to share some info with you there was a game bird farm website i came across the other day while looking for black swan eggs. They had flamingos listed for sale on their page!!!! I know nothing about the website, or if its even legal to own flamingos without some sort of license????? Just FYI it was $10,000 a pair of chicks. Yes 5 grand a piece with no warranty on them at all!!!! LOL No thanks, until I win the Lottery I will just visit the Zoo when I want to see some flamingos!!!

I have a bird SIMILAR to a flamingo, a pair of Sandhill Cranes. Legally I cant call them pets, but wild birds under domestic conditions. What ever, if they follow me around and like to hang around me, they are pets to me!
