hi,my female dove is breathing through her mouth, like she is panting after a long run/flight.
have treated her for air sac mites, protazoa, bacterial infections, with 4 different antibiotics.
nothing seems to help
is there any one ho can help me?
she seems happy enough, but just sits there.
her mate, runs around the floor of my avairy all day!!,so i know this is not normal for the species.
my vet says, maybe she has a lung condition, cancer of the lung,or asmah.
any input?
thanks

I have a few suggestions:
Hows the ventilation? Especially a sick bird good ventilation (not to be confused with drafts) is important!

Are you using some kind of shavings? Try a different, less dusty one. This could be irritating her.

Is it heated in her living area? They are tropical birds, they need to be kept warm.

Is it moist in there? Try to keep it dry, it seems like maybe something respitory or crop worms, did you try a broad spectrum wormer? Try invermectin

Have you checked her feathers for lice and mites
