Received Too Many Baby Chicks in my "Small Order"

The more hens you have, The more eggs you get, the more you can give to your neighbors, the more chickens they let you get the more eggs they will lay, which...... Oh... You get the picture! Good luck with your mini-flock.

I too have 2 A-frame coops that I built, and provided "vents" at each end.

I wanted to mention that inside your coop, just as a possibility, you could provide a small wooden "huddle box" or some place where the chickens can huddle out of the wind if they get cold, as your coop is open-air.

I'm a little worried about my coops turning into wind tunnels. They haven't been through a winter yet.

I love your coop design, and your chicks are so cute!!!

Some of them might not make it to maturity. You might want to rethink giving them away just yet. I always order extra because I lose some along the way.

Yessir, I agree! You can only have three full grown chickens right? Wait until they are 4-5 weeks old before deciding who to keep. By 6 weeks you can tell who is a boy or girl, what their personality will be like, overall color, etc.

Did you ever figure out what the little light yellow chick with the black spots was? We have two that look very similar; were supposed to be wyandottes but feathers coming in quite different..
