"Recipe" for homemade waters?

Does anyone have instructions for home made waters? I just cringe at paying so much for them for so many pens!

I'm handy and have a large array of tools big and small, today I'm making some of my own hanging feeders... I went to pick up some today and saw the $14 price tag and about laughed... went to walmart and picked up $3 worth of stuff to make 'em myself!

i am in love with these waterers. Took me about 6 bucks to make each one, since I had to buy the water jugs but I had the buckets already. An idea to make it cheaper is to check freecycle in your area to see if someone has some of these jugs.
We only did four holes around since ours are still young and small. However, in the future, I would put at least one of the long holes just to be able to see how much water was remaining. Also works great as a long term feeder!!
