Recipe suggestions, please

I've got all my ingredients EXCEPT sweet papaika. I can't find it anywhere around here. Will regular paprika just not work ?

Regular or Smoked will do just fine. And with a Cajun background, Hot Hungarian would probably work too... It's too hot for some folk.

I did it!!

I cooked it yesterday and I'm so very proud of myself, the spatzle was so much fun that I made two batches and vowed to never buy noodles again. I used my potato ricer and it was very fun and easy!

It was delicious, and unlike anything I've ever tasted, so awesome and great suggestion, @rjohns39 !

There were a few things I wasn't certain of, lol. The juice to noodle ratio, and whether to eat it with a spoon or fork... it was so much fun cooking something I've never heard of, tasted, or seen prepared.

Ive only had capers a few times but I really loved them and I like putting lemon in anything that I can.

Ok. Since I'm lazy, I'll go looking for your next adventure. I have most of my recipes written down or scanned--but I can often find a good one out there on the web similar to mine. Next up is Italian and maybe with a Cajun twist.
