want to know how your tiramisu comes out.. my hubbys fave and i've never attempted it yet.. i've just [sorta] mastered pie crust from scratch.. perhaps next will be tiramisu..

I'm making... well attempting to make tiramisu dessert tonight to go with the lasagna tomorrow.

My hubby loves tiramisu. I've only made it a couple times as it's hard to find lady fingers around here.I need to find a recipe that doesn't use lady fingers

I don't exactly live in a culinary adventurers wonderland, so lady fingers were not available to me, either.

I found some "Walker's pure butter shortbread" and am going to substitute it for lady fingers for this first attempt. If it comes out good I'll splurge and order some from Amazon.

I was shocked to be able to find Marscapone!

I'll update how it turns out!

Ok here's how My first ever tiramisu came out...

Not bad for a first attempt.

I added a dash of amaretto.

It looks ok, lol.

I won't know how it taste until tomorrow.

Just hope it doesn't give anyone the flying pewps

I love this recipe. And it's pretty good to heat up the next day too and i don't really like leftovers.

Changes I made...I don't like parm cheese so I use mozzarella and most importantly I take the tails off the shrimp!!! That was something I learned after the first time I made this. So annoying to de-tail while eating your meal!!
