Hiw high is too high to set the "hen house?"

2- 4 feet is good without a ramp and it can be as high as you want with a ramp

If you want them to fly up without a ramp, be sure to put a shelf or perch for them to land on, so they can fold their wings and walk in the door.

Some chickens can't fly at all (Silkies), some can only get a few feet up (heavy breeds), some can fly higher than you could reach to tend the coop (most bantams & light breeds.)
