Recommend a breed for a cockerel!

This may be a stupid question, but if I were to get an olive egger roo. Once mated with a hen, would her offspring have a chance at laying olive eggs?
Yes. Also if you get an easter egger roo and breed it to a brown egg layer, you Also have a high chance of getting an olive egger.

First, what is it that you want from your flock?

Are they primarily pets?

Are they expected to "pay the rent" in an abundant supply of eggs?

The rooster is half the flock when it comes to many traits so you should consider first exactly what you want to perpetuate in your flock going forward.

They’re primarily just pets and fun to keep. We only get a few eggs a day, we don’t sell any of them but they taste miles better then shop-bought ones.
Would like to make the flock a little bigger, would give surplus eggs to family and friends

In that case, you can pick something pretty and not worry about production qualities. :)

You do want to keep in mind that if the roo is too small he can’t do the job when it comes to the bigger hens but I would recommend probably a Dutch bantam for the roo because they are pretty, friendly, and stand anywhere from 6-14 inches tall.

I don’t understand this: stand anywhere from 6-14 inches tall.?

There is no larges variety in size within this breed. Dutch roo’s are the smallest besides Serama’s. And fit to fertilise a range of bantams. But I doubt if they'd mate the larger bantams.
Yes they are pretty. The tail is amazing. I had one pyle roo ages ago. But he was not very friendly towards me (protective to his ladies).

I may have gotten my info mixed up but the webpage I read about them said they were 8-14 inches tall and weigh 18-20 ounces
