Recreating the silkie

Is it possible to recreate the silkie? I have a couple of breeds in mind that may do it. This is just for fun, and to see what the results are.
Well, research is one thing that will be needed for this kind of project.

Two ancestors of the Silkie I know of so far are Sumatra, & Ayam Cemani.
There are possibly a couple more Older, but of Gamefowl in origin based on body type, & the occasional highly rooster aggressive roosters that pop in my silkies for example.

So, a full recreation of the Silkie maybe impossible without completely knowing all breeds that went into making silkies.

So, what's your idea on recreating the Silkie? Definitely an interesting idea.

They decided they needed to have a brawl during picture day, & they wouldn't stop. Started in the pen, then in the yard, put them back in the coop, & they still went at it for a solid 30mins out of breath. That's when I decided to separate them.

Are you saying Silkies were made from gamefowl just because yours fight sometimes? 😅

No, I'm saying that most chickens have some sort of Gamefowl in their ancestry. I'm only using silkies as an example since the topic is about silkies.

Plus, I've had this happen more than once. I had one Silkie that was torn up really bad, I had to take him home, & doctor him up for a few weeks. I've got pictures on my old phone.

Interesting. I am not trying to make a pure silkie, but a silkie looking bird. Some of the breeds I had in mind were silkied cochin and houdan.
A Silkie looking bird, makes more sense then trying to recreate them.

Creates confusion when there's not enough details at the beginning. Leaves us speculating about what's actually being talked about, if that makes sense.
