Recurrent worms...tapes?? (POO PIC INCLUDED)

Tapeworms are difficult to get rid of as you're finding out. I've dealt with them. Insects are the host for the infective eggs, then chickens eat the insect and the chicken becomes infected. Then the chicken excretes segments onto the soil. Each segment in the photo you posted contains about a hundred infective eggs. Segments work their way into/onto the soil and eggs are eaten by insects...completing the tapeworms lifecycle. I recommend that you maintain a regular worming schedule. Rotate valbazen and safeguard, then if you see tapeworm segments in feces later on down the road, hit them again with zimectrin gold. I wormed my birds every 3 months.

What a nightmare. Just dosed with Zimectrin Gold. Will redose in 10 days and keep an eye on their poo....never thought I would be watching chicken poop! Lol! I'll stick to worming every three months too...my North Ga soil and weather= parasite heaven. Thanks Dawg & Kathy!
