Red ball in egg !!!

So I went out to collect the eggs. I see what looks like a soft shell egg that was laid but had broken. I put on my gloves and pull this out. What the heck is it? Is this an egg that was in a hen and had started to develop. If so I guess about 7 days. Never seen this before! New meaning you the term Broody Hen.

Pretty neat actually. Talk about a major hiccup on the production line.
