red blood in poop

Wetness and warmth cause Coccidiosis to thrive.
Keeping a dry area/coop helps to keep it at bay.

Birds are still acting normal. There was still blood in the poop this morning, definitely less than yesterday and not the large bright red splatters. I took them their fresh water with treatment and saw both birds drinking. Once treatment starts, how long before the blood in the poop should be completely gone?

Depends on how quick the Corid works.
Did you give them each a few drops of undiluted Corid straight to the beak too?

@KikisGirls not to hijack this but can you do that dosing method safely with other "in the water" medical treatments ?
I think it is best to give most things straight to the beak.
The in the water method is ok, I guess, for some things but you will never know exactly how much a bird gets when there is more than one bird that has access to said water.

All wormers should go straight to the beak, imo.

What are you wanting a dose for?

@KikisGirls I didn't do any of the drops straight to the beak. I could do that tonight when I would have help to hold them. Do you think there would still be a benefit then?
Tonight if you are still seeing blood I would say yes to give them 2 or 3 drops straight to the beak and do so for 3 days straight...in addition to the water mixture.

i totally agree with your logic. I'm likely to use Wazine for a whipworm in 1 bird if she shows sign of them again (only suspected in poop once).
Wazine is only good for Roundworm.
And I would never recommend Wazine, because so many have complained that it didn't work on their roundworms.

9/10 you will not ever see any worms in their poop unless they are so overly infected with them.
Collect some fresh poop and get it tested. Most "regular" dog vets will test it. And it is cheap!
10-15 bucks usually.
