Maybe a mix between buff and RIR? Or a RIR? It looks like there is some green/dark color coming through in the tail feathers.

My buffs are a strawberry blond color. My RIR are a dark red, with dark green (iridescent) black tail feathers, along with some dark red tail feathers.

There are a kazillion colors for Orpingtons, so it is possible you got a red Orpington or a color tone not quite right for either, but still fully Orpington.

It is also possible, being an eBay seller, you got a mixed bird. If the breeder is not careful with her breeding pens, and a rooster hopped the fence, mishaps occur.

Here is the feathersite's link to Orpington (the breed) so you can see the different colors, including buff and red (and a host of others).

I'm leaning towards mixed breed rather than mixed color. It's pretty tall in the tail for an Orp.
