Red Cell for anemic hen?

I have a lot to give it to, so I mix about an 1/8th of a cup in a gallon of water then mix that into 10 gallons...

Decisions,Decisions!Maybe I need to buy them all and let her sample and choose! LOL!

Poultry Nutri-drench and Poultry Cell are both very good to use on chickens. Both contain iron, other trace minerals, vitamikns, electrolytes, and amino acids. Dosage is by weight 1-3 ml daily by mouth.

Have you heard of Kickin Chicken? Is Poultry Cell a Poultry version of Red Cell?

Or just mix a little in her water so she is always getting some and maybe try putting it straight on a piece of bread? Something she likes that would absorb the liquid... just a thought...

She's a little weasel! She is on meds right now that she is also giving me a hard time with, so I did the bread thing and she picked it up and then dropped it.I thought I'll just add some other bread crumbs with the medicated one....she ate all but the medicated piece!Maybe just in the water is best right now....at least I would know she is getting some unless she wrinkles her nose up at that too! I think she is a little spoiled!

Is Poultry Cell a Poultry version of Red Cell?

Does anyone know if poultry cell and red cell are the same thing? Same dosage? I've got a possible anemic 5 month rooster. About 4 lbs.

I know this is an old thread, but fellow chicken keepers are always searching for answers.
I have an anemic hen. She looks like Lilybug, beautiful! I ordered Red Cell from Chewy.com.
I found information and dosed the hens at 1 teaspoon per gallon in their waterer. My little anemic Bunny was the first one to immediately drink.
Today is day zero.
I hope this works for her but I have read wonderful things about Red Cell as an immune booster.

I don't know if it can be used with birds or not as I have never tried it but if it can, I suspect it will help a bunch. I have used it a great deal on rescue horses with huge success. I would love to know if it can be used with chickens. I hope someone who knows the answer chirps in soon.

My cousin uses a mix of wheat germ oil and red cell for his chickens as preventive health maintance for his laying hens with great success.
