Red coop

I have heard of using red lights in the coop to mellow the birds out and increase egg production but what would happen if you paint the inside red now I have no idea of if you can even paint the inside of a coop becaus paint cracks and chickens love eating random things and I have never painted the inside of any of my coops I'm just wondering if anyone as any study's or knowledge of what would happen

The lights might work but I wouldn't paint it red. They HATE red. Seriously.

Lots of people have red coops and lots of people paint the inside of their coops. I've seen hen houses with chandeliers, furniture and window treatments. You should check out the coop thread, I wouldn't mind living in some of them!
