Could be fox, or foxes as their breeding season is coming soon. Do you have coyotes in your area? But I'm thinking fox.

We usually don't get coyotes in my area but I have seen them before

Wow...I'm so sorry for your losses.

But I agree.....How could something take 20 chickens and not leave anything but feathers?

How was the coop when you FIRST saw it? Was the door left open? How could something have gotten in? Were there any break-in areas, such as a chewed hole that wasn't there before this happened? It would be even stranger if the coop had been locked up with no other way for something to get in...That would mean that something got in, took the chickens, and re-closed and locked the door back up.

That would make me think that a human did it.

Also, maybe try checking UNDER things for your chickens. If you have anything they could fit under, such as a porch or car or something, look under it. And look in the trees. Maybe some of them escaped and hid somewhere that you haven't looked? I hope that if some did survive, you find them or they find their way back soon, and I hope you find out what happened to them.

I did find one dead chicken under a box. And there was a broken window

Neither a fox nor a coyote would break a window!!!!!

The glass was kinda brittle. The dead chicken had no scratch or claw marks. I think it might've had broken neck?
