Red Hainy?

Tractor Supply had a bin of pullets labeled as Red Hainy. I can't seem to find any information on the breed. Anyone heard of them? I'm assuming they are a cross of some sort.

I think it's actually a heritage breed of the Rhode Island red

I never heard of such a breed ether. Are the 3 dark and 5 light chicks all from the same bin???
A possibility may be that a clerk at TSC. was not very good at writing the correct label..

Another possibility is it is the name of the source of these chicks..

The yellow ones look like buff Orpingtons and the black ones might be barred rock if they aren't a heritage breed

Sorry, the black ones are straight run barred rock (so probably all roosters ). The 5 yellow ones were labeled red hainy pullets.

O ok well I think that they may be some sort of heritage breed but maybe not a breed that is a true breed who knows

It doesn't really matter as long as they are girls and lay eggs. I just like reading up on the breeds I get.
