I ordered five leghorn pullets from cackle. They were hatched on the morning of May 25, so they are 2 weeks and 5 days old. The company sent seven chicks (two extra, cool). One of the chicks has had a bigger comb from the beginning, and now it is turning red toward the back. Is it safe to say this little chick is a cockerel?? I don't mind if it is a boy, I'm just curious.

Also when I ordered the leghorns I also ordered 5 easter egger pullets. One of them has a more pronounced comb that I'll be keeping my eyes on.

let me know if you need pictures and I'll upload them when I get the chance.

I would say so, because reddish combs that early almost certainly indicate cockerels. But pictures might be nice just to be sure.
