Red junglefowl cockerel of unknown age lethargic, somethimes unable to walk, rests often

Great news! He ate almost all the food! Spilled only about 1/4. He also made healthy poop that was solid. Unfortunately, it was in the empty feed bowl and I washed it out without thinking. I’m making him more food now.

Alright, he’s eaten the whole second bowl, and is sitting on his perch. He looks happy. Should I give him more feed, or hold off for a few hours?

Think he's under nourished, maybe that's why he was so weak. Have you checked it for lice/mies? Look him (or her) over, wear gloves for your protection. If he got any buys, pick up some Poultry Dust at the feed store or garden store or even Walmart. You could get some Nutri Drench (vitamin & electrolytes) to help him recoup.

Thinking he, pullets look different. Of course, it’s possible it has unique coloration. Still, I’m leaning cockerel.

It is a male. He will consume any quality chicken feed you give him if he is not too scared. If you are adverse to using a higher protein chick feed, then I suggest you hit the fish market and pick up a little shrimp of fish fillet and give him chunks approximating a golf ball in size. You need to cut him back on the fruit, regardless. Otherwise his doing to have feather and potentially bone development issues.

Your original description was consistent with two conditions, the first being drunk and the second being hurt by collision with something possibly while in flight. I did not see chickens on your island do all that much flying but they may still do enough once in a while getting them into impact risks.

There's a several feral chickens that live along a stretch of road we travel daily, this one pullet/hen will come a running when I pull the car off to the side. I toss feed out to her, she's not afraid, thinking she was someones. In the same area there are 2 other pullets/hens they on the other hand will not approach the car/me, in fact I pull over & the run into the brush.

At the boat ramp, all the chickens that WERE there, come running when I pull over to toss feed. They may have gotten to "tame" whereas the Micronesians that hang out caught them. Once I saw their vehicles pulled up & they were walking around the area looking like they were up to no good, had something in the trunk of their car. It's been several months now, all the chickens there are gone

It’s chick feed. As for the Micronesians, I’d bet it rhymes with Cheating and is synonymous with ingestion.
